Castle Judo Club

About the Club

Castle Judo Club has been teaching Judo to children and adults alike for more than 30 years. In October 1979, Peter Sephton started the club from its first venue in Kirby Muxloe close to the famous Kirby Castle, from where the inspiration for the clubs name was taken.

Shortly after the club was formed it outgrew the venue and moved to Stafford Leys Primary School, where it has remained ever since.

We are able to cater for all levels of Judo player from beginners to the sport to those who are experienced players and is an ideal opportunity for those wishing to find a fun way to mix with others and exercise.

We are always happy to take new players between the ages of 4 - 65 years old, and with over 80 members at Castle Judo Club currently, it’s hardly surprising that we have some players who have competed in international competitions and represented the AJA National squad in Holland.
